ABOUT VILLAGES:
Verschiedenste Einflüsse aus Synth-Pop, Indie/Artrock und Postrock verschmelzen VILLAGES zu ihrem originären, detailverliebten Sound, der bei jedem Hören neue Facetten offenbart. Auch auf ihrer zweiten, frisch veröffentlichten LP „EXCESSIVE DEMAND“ werden die Songs von ungewöhnlichen Drum-Grooves vorangetrieben, während analoge Synthesizer und verhallte Gitarren Schicht um Schicht hinzufügen – die elektronische Kühle trifft dabei auf einen warmen Bass-Sound und mehrstimmigen Gesang. Darin spiegeln sich so unterschiedliche Inspirationsquellen für das Trio wie u.a. Battles, Trail of Dead, Deerhunter, Metronomy oder Talking Heads.
Villages ist eine dreiköpfige Band aus Dresden, Halle Und Leipzig (Post-Punk/Experimental/Synth-Pop). Nach einem Demo-Tape (2016) erschien 2017 das erste, nahezu ausschließlich in Eigenarbeit produzierte Album “ILL AGES” beim DIY-Plattenlabel “Pike Records” als Vinyl-LP. Es folgten Touren und Konzerte in Deutschland und angrenzenden europäischen Ländern u.a. mit Maserati, Candelilla, Akne Kid Joe, Radare, Soft Grid, Whispering Sons und Pigeon. Aktuell stellt die Band ihr neues Album EXCESSIVE DEMAND vor.

ABOUT HALFSILKS:
Halfsilks are Karen Thompson (Gym Tonic, The Anna Thompsons, Canyon Spree), Jana Sotzko (Point No Point, Soft Grid, Dropout Patrol) and Linnea Mårtensson (Matching Outfits, Featherweights). They explore shared musical influences from 60s girl groups to post-punk, and play songs about horses, obsolete technology, and female role models. In December 2021 their first album “Cupid Operations” was released via Kitchenleg Records. They have played various Berlin venues (eg SO36, West Germany, Schokoladen) and appeared at Fusion Festival in 2022.
